They've been handled "privately" for years, with no change to the MO of the offenders and no benefit to the victims. Rapp was literally playing a child on B'way at the time (I saw Precious Sons). Rapp went on, grew up, and appeared as an adult. His humiliation and shame -- treated thus as a child --
should be noted, and his inability to look back respected. All of this speculation about what Rapp coulda/woulda/shoulda certainly is ironic, as the culture looks at how the perpetrators are given a pass. Here we are, on a theater board, looking more at Rapp than Spacey. |
