I saw the show on Broadway. My understanding is that the show was exactly the same as off-Broadway. Erik walked through the door at the end.

The Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia is doing the show as part of its subscriber season, which is an admirable risk for them IMO. It is a very populist theater -- the current show is Annie, and the last show this season is Mamma Mia. I don't think the subscriber base will love the show, but I think the production will probably be a good one. The theater is trying to push it as a comedy, which I'm not sure is the best strategy. They're describing the show as "sidesplitting" and "hilarious," which is not the way I'd describe it.
