I haven't gone to buy tickets from them with credit, as you say, but when I went to buy tickets from them, I was given a seat location before having final the option to buy. I was able press checkout then hit cancel, tried it again, and sometimes it worked for a slightly better seat, sometimes it didn't.
Not sure how much credit you have but in short, I wound up just going to the box office and pretty much getting the same ticket(s), sans the surcharges.
