I believe it's a mistake to mislead. It's actually worse: it's a lie. This play isn't a comedy, not even a Chekhovian one, not at its core."

I agree with you. In marketing this play, I would think it might be more successful to stress that it's partly about family secrets, and also to tease the creepy and possibly supernatural elements of the play.
