I can easily see a strong Latino actor with little or no accent as General Waverly. That's not a problem at all.
I can also see either or both parts -- Bob Wallace (Crosby) and Phil Davis (Kaye) -- as African-American and/or Latino since both are (or want to be) show-biz performers. An audience wouldn't have any problem with that as historically entertainers were more accepted in society. |
