I saw AIP in NYC with original cast and liked, but not loved, it. For some reason it just seemed kind of cold to me. This week I saw the national tour in Detroit and, for once, thought a show was better on the road than in NYC. The physical production has the best projections I have ever seen and works better than on Broadway (others might/will not agree). Also I like this cast better- more warmth.
We all twelve had a great time. Do see it if it hits your town. (Seeing two more shows this year that I have already seen in NYC- School of Rock & Finding Neverland. Curious how they hold up.) |
