| If you have seen the Fiasco company before, this work is in a similar vein. If you have not, they are a group that uses a company of actors, some duplicating roles, and open staging with minimal set and props to tell their stories. The cast is strong and very relaxed with each other, they bring a lot of music to this production successfully, I felt their strongest work has been their “Into the Woods” which had strong theatricality in the staging and performances. This production is smooth and funny - a good introduction to 12th Night if you haven’t seen it before and an entertaining production if you are very familiar with the play. Not necessarily for purists, but well worth seeing for the rest of us. P.s. if you don’t know this company’s work, they are well worth getting to know. |
