| The sad truth is that this kind of behavior is in every industry and every corner of the world. Theater and the arts are not exempt from idiots, as much as we might like to think that we are more compassionate or more humane. People are people. I would like to think that the current environment will result in change but I am skeptical since this kind of behavior has been going on for centuries. Whether it is using power for sexual intimidation or paying someone less because of their gender or...whatever...it is all evidence that humans don't deal well with power. |
