| I love the gate-fold albums, with laminated covers. CAMELOT and The SOUND OF MUSIC are my favorites. It seems Columbia Records favored this format sometimes. ANYONE CAN WHISTLE and I CAN GET IT FOR YOU WHOLESALE, had a page in the middle , with photos from the show ; Seeing very few shows, as a youngster, these covers brought Broadway closer. Sometimes a flat cover can also capture a show.The back of the album cover for MAME provides minimum info, but that cover, the lady with the Trumpet, is IMO one of the best Bway Logos ever. |
