We used to joke that Moo Goo Gai Pan was a cow, a baby and a guy in a pan.

But no, not a can for the lyric -- even if it rhymes. Just cause sometimes rhymes doesn't mean it makes sense in the overall scheme of things.

But then again, someone like Sondheim puts in a the word "precis" in "Lucy/Jessie" and not many people outside of France use the word "precis" ever as in "sorrowful precis", but it goes with his rhyming plot. Like Buddy would ever use the word "avers" in "The Right Girl"! Even Margie says incredulously, "Avers?"
