| I've always found it interesting that FUNNY GIRL ran so long with Hines but, in later years, it has been difficult for audiences to accept anyone other than Streisand in the role. I'm guessing the reason for this is that, when Hines did the show, the movie version had not yet been released, therefore Streisand's performance hadn't yet been imprinted on the masses. Just a thought. |
