Kander & Ebb wrote a new final song for Bacall for the national tour called "Early Bird's Coming Home." ("Early Bird" was the name of her character's TV show.) It was kind of like a Lucille Ball sketch in which she flew around the kitchen trying to be a "conventional wife"-type, smoke coming out of the oven, etc. The tune itself was up-tempo, bright and memorable.

This was one of two tours I saw which bore absolutely no resemblance to the Broadway originals, though advertised as same. The other was the completely rewritten and restaged revamp of NINE which toured after Broadway.
