Small Q: I think in this production there was not the bit of dialogue at the beginning where Sally is not recognized by Stella Deems. It was in the last Broadway production and as a newcomer to the material I thought it said quite a bit about Sally (and about her relationship with Buddy, fleeing from him to go talk to someone who doesn't even know / remember her).
Did I just miss it?
