| The Ziegfeld Theater in NYC that you refer to was torn down in 1966 and replaced by Burlington House, an office bldg. IIRC, I read that the dialogue in the NT production does not use “parking lot” because in the UK a parking lot is called a “car park” and that may conjure up a different image in the listener’s mind. In any event, what difference does it make thematically whether it’s a “parking lot” or “office building”? |
