You're certainly the only one who feels that way. Thank you for chiming in here. I haven't been feeling like posting much lately. I wanted to mention what you did about that moment not having been there originally, but I never got around to it.

I hope no one now asks me to go into more detail beyond what I'm about to post — I don't think I will feel like it — but at least based on what we saw in the NTLive presentation, I liked it even less than the Roundabout and 2011 productions, neither of which I liked much at all. Despite using a script closer to the original (although still not close enough), I found the choices so wrong so much of the time, and the performances generally undistinguished, with just a few exceptions (and one of the exceptions, Imelda Staunton's performance, was distinguished in generally harmful ways). I didn't feel that the four principals were even talking to each other and listening to each other. I mean, this is Acting 101 stuff. But I don't blame them. I think it's Dominick Cooke who is at fault.
