| But Madeline (that's the name of the Streep character, right?) is the one who is the glamorous performer at the start of the story. Wasn't she on stage singing and dancing when she caught the eye of Helen's fiancé? It doesn't surprise me that she wanted this part instead of the plain Jane who becomes glamorous. | |

| I guess, but I mean... "know thyself". I feel she'd be pretty darn dynamite in the Goldie Hawn part. I mean I'd rather do something I'd be good at. But who knows maybe she thought it was just a recap of Lily Garland. | |
