| The Encores administrators have been completely up front about this - it's to save money. I know for old shows, one of the biggest expenses is the restoration of the original score, but that shouldn't really be an issue for shows from the last 50 or so years. But as a subscriber, I was well informed there would be a revue this season (it's not the first time), and I'm glad it will at least be a starry affair. |
