people might want to be reminded that Sonny and Cher modeled their act on Keely's and Louis Prima's famous nightclub act.
Keely Smith had such a glorious voice and great stage presence. I'm rather surprised that someone didn't star her in a Broadway show along the way.
Here's the first color clip I've ever seen of her then-husband Louis Prima and Keely doing "That Old Black Magic". Notice the deadpan manner which Cher appropriated from Keely. RIP. |
