| After the first act I left the theater so fast I was hoping I got hit by a car to make my night a little interesting. | |

| While I wasn't hoping to get hit by a car, I also left the theater after the first act. Similar to GUARDS AT THE TAJ and GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES, DESCRIBE THE NIGHT was disconcertingly phony and manufactured. There was nothing inherently dramatic or interesting going on and I didn't feel like risking more annoyance in the second (let alone third) act. That was likely the last Rajiv Joseph play I'll see. |

| was it too "earnest" did the deep and complex subject matter require greater skill why do you think DtN appeals to others who are so enthusiatic |
