At the gym tonight, I listened to the show for the first time in months and was surprised to note a more fervent and character-specific (Pierre) Groban in the (B'way) signature song, "Dust and Ashes." Or was it just my being away from the (wonderful) music for so long? This time last year, at the time I saw the show, I enjoyed the single released as a video. But even with the same arrangement, did he re-record the number with the company?
Unrelated: I still find "No One Else" one of the most exquisite theater songs written in the last 20 years. |
