Few film stars get quite the pre-release push Hugh Jackman usually gets for his films, but for around 15 years now the hoopla has always, X-Men franchise films aside, been followed by tepidly received films. Maybe the shebang around him has run its course? And if not, maybe this time will prove the exception, and the quiet will precede the release of a genuinely successful film. Stranger things have happened.
I prefer this to the drama that used to greet the release of all musical films; the "if this isn't a hit, the musical is dead in Hollywood!" hysteria. Don't you? |
