| I hope all you (ok, us) Gay Guys boycott this show. Donna Summer said some really nasty things about her gay fans late in her career and never, as far as I know apologized in any way shape or form. | |

| She never apologized because she always denied she said what was attributed to her, whatever it was, since no one seems to know what it is they are accusing her of saying. She sued New York magazine for libel in 1991 for printing the rumors. And in 1998 she played a Carnegie Hall benefit concert for Gay Men's Health Crisis. So there's that. | |

| She denied repeatedly ever having said anything homophobic. In 1985 she put out a statement which was printed in The Advocate, stating that her true feelings had been misrepresented. I include a link to more information about this hurtful rumor in the hopes that any gay person planning to boycott this musical for that reason can learn a bit more about the reality of the situation. | |
