Michael Cacoyanis directed. Mitchell Ryan as Agamemnon came out staggeringly drunk. He slurred and stumbled through his lines in the first scene. Then he went into the wings and vomited into a bucket. Said, "That's better," and continued with the show. Needless to say, Ms. Papas kept him at arm's length, but poor Iphigenia had to be embraced.
