I'd never heard of them until seeing the newest PIXAR film; they've written the songs for the 20 minute 'featurette' that screened before "Coco" during its first few weeks, titled "Olaf's Frozen Adventure." With songs sung by Kristin Bell, Josh Gad, Jonathan Groff and the wickedly talented Adele Dazeem, the music bursts out pretty quickly as the work of some talented composer and lyricists.
Looked up their website and scrolled through some of the things they've got in development, including a Jordan Roth project that seems like it might have some legs.
These ladies seem to me like the real deal. I think the composition is particularly fresh and ear-warming. Has anyone seen readings or stagings of their other works? What do we predict for these talented women?
