But $758k last week is only 52% of gross for the first full week after opening. Not that good even if it was an increase from the previous week which included opening night comps. At $750k, the show is only breaking even. It will need to hit a million to really stay open for a long time. I wonder how much merchandise it is selling. Disney shows make a lot of money on the merchandise.

the key is how bad the advance is for jan-feb, and how much confidence they have that they will find a corner of the spring market against admittedly stronger pedigrees. merch will not carry the show. and of course another factor will be what they intend to do beyond Broadway. this is not what they dreamed about in those boardrooms.
