For slightly more precise info, which I have now, she and Wally Harper performed on May 21, 1974 at the O'Neill Center, and then they made their New York "cafe bow" (as Variety put it) on July 11 at Brothers & Sisters. And then, as you remember, they were all over the place. In 1980, PBS broadcast An Evening With Barbara Cook, which they showed a bunch of times over the next few years, including during pledge drives.
So, yeah, in 1982, far from being washed up, she was doing very well.
