You can't say Hellman is an underrated playwright, but since her auto bio/political profile became more prominant, I think ,to that degree, she is somewhat underrated today. I haven't read all of Miller's plays, but I think she's superior, which is not the common evaluation nowadays....... This past May, I was able to see LITTLE FOXES twice, with Linney and Nixon alternating the role of Regina and Birdie. Theatrical Heaven. The film version of WATCH ON THE RHINE is excellent, and , unlike the film of FOXES,(SPOILER ALERT) they didn't add a god-awful reporter to cover Production code qualifications re killing.
