| We are all entitled to our opinions - but HELLO, DOLLY! for me is, and always has been, a near perfect example of the form. And with much of Gower Champion's original choreography intact (or close to it), it reminds us of those who learned the lesson of Agnes de Mille - there are no dance 'numbers; in musicals. Merely book scenes where the plot is advanced through dance. I loved the revival. Will see all the replacements! |
