| Well, I could partly cite things like the fact that the film is set in Italy where the legal age of consent is 14, but in truth all that aside, I wouldn’t have had a problem if the story had been about a 17 year old girl’s awakening with an older man because there is absolutely nothing salacios about the story or the relationship. No one is abusing power or advantage. It’s simply a beautiful story about love and connection and discovery. |
