"Bosoms and Neglect" ran for 4 performances.
"Zoot Suit" ran for 41 performances.
"Wings" ran for 113 performances.
Yes, there were hit plays like "Elephant Man." But plays were never a sure thing. Even "Crucifer of Blood," a modest hit with yet-to-be-movie-star Glenn Close, closed in April before the Tony's with 238 performances. |
