This 4-time Oscar nominee plays Charity as his long-suffering wife and loving mother of their 2 daughters, and is really given little to do.
She's given a forgettable solo about how she's willing to walk the ''Tightrope'' with him, but she isn't afforded any adventures of her own.
As you note about ''Barnum,'' Charity has her own numbers and viewpoint (her own version of ''The Colors of My Life'') and challenges P.T.
Neil Patrick Harris has long discussed reviving ''Barnum'' on Broadway, and he'd be the perfect ringmaster to make it sing again.
