First, we really enjoyed the show. It was a very funny 80 minute diversion. The play doesn't give you much to think about when it's over, but it was very well performed by all four actors.
So here's my question: Shortly after the first meteor strike, Amy is sitting alone on stage, and apparently something happened to cause her to start to giggle. Laura then entered and waited for Amy to stop laughing, which didn't happen, and before long she had caught the giggles as well. They were struggling to get some lines out, and then Keegan entered, as both of them essentially had their heads down with their hands in front of their mouths. After waiting for what seemed to be about 30 seconds, he said, "Well, I guess I'll just plunge ahead" or something like that. By this time the audience was caught up in the fun and were laughing and applauding. For those of you who have seen this, does this happen often, if you know? Did anything like that happen when you saw the play? |
