| That would be Top Banana--opposite Phil Silvers. It was filmed in kind of a bizarre way--on stage as if it were an actual performance, framed with an audience at the beginning and end, but with no audience reaction during the show itself. And Rose Marie wrote in her memoir of how a producer of the movie propositioned her, she turned him down emphatically, and the result was her part in the filmed version of the show was whittled away. The movie is seldom seen, and it is a real curiosity. |
