| Will "Mary Jane," a year-end darling, return with Coon? |

I was a vocal admirer of the Herzog play; it was the production that stayed with me this fall. Coon and company were extraordinary. It seemed designed to move to a larger house, and used the expansive stage where it was housed rather remarkably.
Was there hope for a transfer? Is there again? The reviews were among the best, the cast singled out, and now it's deservedly (but somewhat surprisingly, to me) made many year end lists as one of the 10 best, compiled today by Playbill On-Line.
Perhaps Coon's schedule is a factor. Or perhaps it's just too expensive a commercial prospect, to move a play about a mother tending to a child with devastating health issues. |
