Nice to see SHE LOVES ME again. But someone should have given self-described “theater nerd” Ms. Benanti background notes on her co-star Zachary Levi. She told the interviewer that SHE LOVES ME was Levi’s Broadway debut. I guess she misremembered or never saw the slight but charming FIRST DATE. Levi gave a wonderful performance in that, just as likable as he was later in SHE LOVES ME.
But hey, running around after a toddler as well as performing 8 times a week in a comedy can do a number on one’s memory. |
