Sure, but the religious argument only came up when Summertheater was asked to explain the claim that the play was racist, an accusation that they have made in the past about at least one other not-racist play, also directed by O'Hara. I'm rather surprised that people are even entertaining the notion that there is a credible argument buried somewhere in Summertheater's reactions to these plays... If there is, Summertheater certainly isn't doing the work to support and explore it.
