Fair enough. The last time I had contact with the play, the religious connections felt very faint, used primarily to provide a context and structure for the rituals. It didn't strike me that we were part of a piece that had the Christian religion at the forefront of its focus.

I've been surprised that the conversation, such as it is, has been around religion, and not around the merits of a feminist play created by and exclusively featuring men.
