Not to overlook: Many others (including me) feel the play is very poorly written and directed. How many times can you keep repeating a scene and keep repeating "abortion is illegal"? The writer was so intent on shocking for shock's sake, that he forgot how to write a basic play. Very amateurish work.
You may want to consider attending the 80s jazz/music show around the corner at www.thegreenroom42.com (4th floor) instead at 7pm that night. The video at www.takeonmemusical.com/watch/2017/2/24/girls-just-want-to-have-fun-cyndi-lauper looks like a ton of fun. $20 cover, no food or drink minimum (but the food & beverages are really good, the drinks are strong, and the whole staff are incredibly nice there!) |
