I think there was a similar reaction to Kirsten Childs' Bella - calling it a "sick derogatory show that offends all races equally" and questioning the mental health of the playwright.
I do think some playwrights may write in a style that is not accepted/comprehended (I'm not trying to insult the viewer) by some - maybe extreme forms of satire? The only reference I can think of is the people who thought "All in the Family" was a racist TV show. |
