| I love The Band's Visit, so I'm thrilled this show is doing well at the box office. But I will say that I saw the show on Friday night due to some highly discounted tickets being sold on StubHub ($60 for side orchestra), and they had listings for tickets as low as $25 in the Rear Mezz. It makes me wonder if the grosses will drop quickly once the scalpers realize there may not be much profit in resales for this show. I don't think anybody here would disagree there's certainly never going to be Hamilton or even Dear Evan Hansen-like demand for it. |
