I was at the long table right behind yours.
(She seemed really, really touched by the roses.)

She's still a great performer. True, she sings with lowered keys on a few songs, and she talks her way through the higher passages at times. And I got the feeling at times that she's told her Fred Astaire and John Lennon stories a thousand times and was reciting them on autopilot.

But I don't begrudge her any of that. She's still got a really strong voice and a LOT of energy, and she never pushes too hard or comes off looking foolish. She's aged gracefully, and she's taken very good care of herself and her voice. And when she was really having a blast, singing her old hit "Colour My World" (a song I'd completely forgotten about but am now obsessed with), the years melted away.

It was the most enjoyable live show I've seen in quite a while.
