I'm puzzled by the negative to mixed reception Spider Woman receives on this board.

I think it's one of our great contemporary musicals and highly deserving of the seven Tony Awards that it won, including Best Musical and Best Score.

I feel as if I post a plea for a revival here every six months or so. I wish I could find my most recent post about it, in which I rattled off longish lists of fantasy casting for each of the three principle roles. I don't remember everyone whom I named, but I do recall...

...wondering if Javier Munoz could sing Valentin;
...thinking J. Harrison Ghee would be an astonishing Molina;
...predicting Catherine Zeta Jones could gain more rave reviews and probably even a few more awards in another role originated by Chita Rivera.
