| I understand what you're saying, but I think it's really important to understand that in 1979, Israel and Egypt signed a peace treaty which has held to today. Israel and Egypt have pretty decent relations, much better that the relations between Egypt and the Palestinians. So there is really very little conflict between Israelis and Egyptians. Viewed in that context makes the lack of discussion of "the conflict" somewhat more reasonable, in my view. I'd actually argue that attempting to bring in a discussion of the "Arab-Israeli conflict" would have been out of place. |
