My guess -- that's all it is -- is that she lacks cachet. The tastemakers who swoon for Ruhl and Baker pretty much ignore her and therefore I'm guessing NY producers don't want to risk bringing her into town and getting bad notices from (the very predictable) Brantley and his bunch. A new writer generally needs good notices to get off the ground in NYC |
