No, I didn't think it got that deep. She grew tired of the affair with the guy who was becoming too needy, and she wanted to end the affair and make her husband happy with the job (by any means necessary) & continue with her open marriage.
I thought it was a superb play and impeccably acted. So much better than all those terrible reviews it got from the out-of-touch press (who I thought would have eaten it up due to all the far-left vitriol at the very end). Received a well-deserved standing ovation from the audience. The entire cast was simply sublime and I highly recommend it! The 1 hour 40 minutes flies by. |
