| The question wasn't primarily about the reason for ending the affair. The question is about revealing potentially catastrophic info to a woman with the power to make or break her husband's career is important. It seemed a crucial faux pas but had an unclear impact on the rest of the plot. For this and other reasons, the play didn't seem superb to me, but an enjoyable way to spend some time. My taste tends to sync up with the major critics, so t. hey tend to touch me right where I live. |
