I did see it at the york and was surprised that i wasnt impressed with the show after glowing comments from many. I did buy the cd to see if i would like it more and after one or two listenings, i buried it, but your post mare me dig it up. Its still worth seeing locally and if new conservatory theater did it here in san fran, id see it again. Maybe they will consider it next sesson since the rights seem to have been released for local productions. Just dont go in with high expectations.

The songs were often wonderful, toe-tapping pastiches of 1940s songs, and they were among the reasons I saw ''Yank!'' many times.

I also contributed a donation to the making of the cast album, among many others (including Ann Miner), and still enjoy hearing it.

For the record, ''Yank!'s'' score was nominated by the Outer Critics Circle and the Drama Desk as being among the best of that season.
