| MY FAVORITE YEAR, KING OF HEARTS and HOW NOW DOW JONES are three scores that I think are overlooked. These shows were panned by critics and didn't do well with audiences. I have never seen them staged, but I really, truly enjoy those scores. They are fun to listen to...and, in the case of KING OF HEARTS, really quite beautiful. | |

| Thanks, hugoP, for mentioning KING OF HEARTS. It's one of my favorite scores and does indeed have some beautiful music. While I didn't see the Broadway production, the Lincoln Community Playhouse in Nebraska had it in their season one year. They did a very commendable job with an essentially "lost" musical. | |

| glad to hear that Regional Theatres are doing that show-- maybe some day I'll get to see a staging of it! I know that some of the songs wind up in recitals and cabaret shows, but it really is a lovely score and the movie it was based on was also quite great (and topical!) | |
