| You're absolutely right. There were 21 straight plays that opened in Broadway houses in the 2016-2017 season, if you include "Oh, Hello on Broadway" as a play. Nine of those were revivals which has nothing to do with the survey. There were also one circus, one magic show, two concerts, and one personal appearance by Alton Brown.
