Immersive Theatrical Event

The Hidden Ones

Sheds New Light on Holocaust Stories

Created by Anthony Logan Cole

with Choreography by Lorna Ventura

Begins February 7, 2018; Opening February 16, 2018

True stories of those forced into hiding during the Holocaust are the focus of the new immersive production The Hidden Ones. The production, created by Anthony Logan Cole and choreographed by Lorna Ventura, will be presented through Royal Family Productions beginning February 7; opening Thursday, February 16 and will initially run through April 1, 2018.

Inspired by actual stories, The Hidden Ones is intimate and personal experience surrounding those forced into hiding during the Holocaust. 10 audience members will traverse the secret world of the hidden and experiencing true stories of love, humanity, and loss. Two families, a hidden room, and an unforgettable personal journey.

The Hidden One’s creator Anthony Logan Cole explains that “This piece was born out at a study of one family’s story. The more I researched, the more I read, and the more I learned my own family’s stories, I realized that there were so many stories that needed to be shared. The idea of hearing these stories one-on-one really spoke to me. 10 audience members sharing this experience together felt like the best way to honor these lives. From start to finish the audience is fully immersed in the history and the truth of these families. It’s intimate, it’s raw, it’s honest, and I hope that it resonates. We are seeing unfortunate parallels in today’s world. We need to be sure that these stories are never forgotten.”

Choreographer, Lorna Ventura adds “The climate of our country at present and the struggles that many immigrant families are facing at present, speak directly to the struggles of the characters in the play. It is not difficult to find parallels to the threat of Dreamers or immigration reform as well as, the profiling of individuals on the street, which has become a part of everyday life for some people. It is impossible to believe we could find these parallels in our culture in 2018.”

The intimate production will play a secret location in the Theatre District beginning in February. The production announced that only 10 audience members will get to experience the show at each performance. The extremely limited tickets are $150 and are available at www.thehiddenonesnyc.com.
